Candida Albicans is a parasitic yeast like fungus that inhabits everybody. It predominatly lives in the gut but can be found in the vagina, penis, groin, throat, stomach, oesophagus, on the skin, and under the toe and finger nails. Generally this bacterium does not cause us a problem as we have billions of ‘good’ bacteria to keep the Candida under control.
Candida becomes a problem when the balance between the good and bad bacteria in the gut is disrupted, allowing the Candida to overgrow.
Factors contributing to this imbalance are:
To Check if YOU have a Candida overgrowth take our Candida Test for immediate results on whether Candidiasis could be causing YOUR health problems.
When someone is suffering from Candida what is actually meant is that they are suffering with an OVERGROWTH of candida. This is sometimes referred to as Candidaisis, or if it spreads into the blood stream Chronic Systemic Candidaisis.
Candida feeds on simple carbohydrates we eat such as sugar, cakes, biscuits, bread, and fermented foods like cheese, alcohol, vinegar, pickles, and sauces. If the immune system and gut are healthy the growth of Candida is kept under control, if not Candida can run out of control to such a degree that it can alter the body’s chemistry and a raft of symptoms and diseases can materialise. When this happens Candida has turned from a harmless fungal organism to a dangerous invader depleting your immune function and robbing your body of vitality and good health FOREVER, until steps are taken to treat Candida.
